NEW! Elk Drop Camp with Unit 18 Rifle Tag Having a hard time drawing a quality elk tag? I now offer a complete drop camp which includes an outfitter allocated tag and use of a traditional elk camp. Hunters need to only bring their food, clothing, game bags and hunting gear with them. Use of our wall tents, cots and pads, wood stoves, propane cooking stove, cooking equipment, camp chairs and outhouse are included in the drop camp. The drop camp is located approximately 10 miles from the trail head and hunters and their gear will be transported with riding and pack stock to and from camp. This hunt allows the adventuresome type an opportunity to hunt this great elk unit on their own with all of the comforts of a guided hunt at a great price. Hunters will need to be prepared to pack their harvested elk to the nearest forest service trail for transport with pack stock to the trail head. Hunters harvesting elk in areas requiring more than 72 hours to transport meat to a FS trail or poorly caring for meat causing spoil will be reported to the fish and game for waste of game. This ensures ethical hunting standards and safety to myself and stock in this rugged canyon. NEW! Archery Drop Camp If you are lucky enough to draw one of these exciting archery hunts and want to hunt the remote areas of Hells Canyon let us help you on your hunt. This is a basic packing service to transport your gear to an agreed camp location of your choice and the back haul of your camp and harvested elk. Hunters will be required to keep packable gear weight to 240lbs per hunter on the way in. Additional pack animals are available for the rate of $250.00 per 120lbs packed. During your archery hunt I will be camped at a central location in the hunting area to remain on call to pack harvested elk on short notice. Archery season in September in Hells Canyon can be very warm and harvested game will need to be transported as soon as possible. Hunters will need to be prepared to pack their harvested elk to the nearest forest service trail for transport with pack stock to the trail head. Cancellations:Deposits are non refundable except in the event of not being successful in drawing a desired tag. Deposits are transferable if a replacement can be found before the purchase of hunting tags in depositor's name. * Accounts past due will be charged $50.00/ month late fee. Airport Shuttle Service:Hells Canyon Outfitters will provide round trip shuttle service from the Lewiston, ID airport. The cost of this service is $200.00 per hunting party.
