Mountain Lion

Mountain Lion hunts are conducted in both Hells Canyon and the Salmon River Canyon. Mountain lions are plentiful due to the fact that our ungulate herds are increasing in numbers. Lion hunts are exhilarating chases through the winter landscape. Our hounds are well broke seasoned dogs that are capable of catching game on snow or dry ground. Our dogs have been successful catching game in hot dry desert conditions as well as in the snowy mountains. The ability of our dogs permits us to be successful during challenging hunting conditions.

We offer both a front country cabin and a wilderness winter wall tent camp. Our front country hunts are conducted off of snowmobiles and foot. Hunters that stay at the rustic mountain cabin will enjoy hot meals and a warm bed daily. The average day consists of an early morning breakfast and snowmobiling to search for a suitable track. During the short days of winter hunters have time to relax around the stove after a hot dinner in the evenings.

Our back country camp is a winter wall tent camp accessed by pack stock and jet boat. Daily hunts are conducted off of saddlestock and foot. These hunts are more arduous and take place in the winter range of the Snake River canyon. Hells Canyon is protected from other hunting pressure which provides a solitary hunt in premier cougar habitat. Hunting this rugged wilderness is a great opportunity for the avid hunter in good physical condition to hunt large cougars in the demanding country that they reside in.
